WMC handles the collection and processing of bio-medical waste from hospitals and healthcare centres through to the treatment plant, where it is processed under environmental compliance rules.
The app exists because that chain has to be provable, not just performed. It provides live tracking and detail for every individual bag of waste — what it is, where it came from, where it is in the journey, and whether it has been processed or is still in process. Compliance in this sector is a reporting obligation with real legal weight, so the record has to hold up after the fact, not only look correct in the moment.
The build centred on chain-of-custody: identifying each bag, capturing handovers reliably from sites with patchy connectivity, and keeping an audit trail that reconciles what left a hospital with what reached the plant.
